“The Chef & The Butcher”
9 March 2013, 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Executive chef John Lawson will be joined by his butcher, Felice Marandola, for an entertaining Masterclass of local produce, including salt-bush lamb, as they prepare that most relaxing of meals for a Saturday lunch.
In addition, to the signature lamb dish, this engaging class will start with Crispy little pig and conclude with an opulent Apple tart tartin. The event will be enjoyed with a glass of sparkling wine and participants will receive the recipes from the day.

Mr Hive “Food from the Jura” 13 March, 6:30pm – 10:30pm
Join Executive Chef John Lawson for a special evening as he celebrates classic food and wine from the Jura. Located between Burgundy and Switzerland the Jura produces some of the most unique wine styles available. John has created a 5 course menu for the evening. Drawing inspiration from classic french techniques, including his mentor Raymond Blanc.
The wines for the event will focus on Jura winemaker Philippe Bornard, based in the tiny village of Pupillin not far from the Swiss border. Philippe uses bio dynamic methods in his vineyards where he produces Savagnin, Chardonnay, Ploussard, and Trousseau.

Join Mr. Hive on Fridays as he unwinds after a busy week in the bar’s lounge.
With live music from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, sample canapés provided by executive chef John Lawson and fantastic drinks specials including Chandon Sparkling wines, Mr. Hive Kitchen & Bar is the ideal place to start your weekend in style.
Join Mr. Hive on Saturdays when the live music kicks off from 8:00pm until late, with Belvedere cocktail specials.
